Terésa Stern

I am a psychotherapist specializing in trauma, including developmental trauma, complex PTSD, attachment injury, sexual abuse, medical trauma, and trauma caused by accidents. I use a variety of tools; I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and SE is my home base. I've been an SE training assistant since 2013 and have been trained in therapeutic touch by Kathy Kain and Steve Terrell. I also call on other modalities, including Internal Family Systems, EMDR, and movement. I work with adult individuals, adults needing support as parents, and children from birth to 10-11 years old. For my work with children, I am trained in Sensory Motor Arousal Regulation Therapy (SMART) as well as Theraplay. I consider the resonance and connection between my client and me to be at the heart of any therapy we do.
