I have worked as a midwife, hospital doctor, and international humanitarian-- usually with people whose access to care is limited by poverty, prejudice, or refugee status. All of us encounter big change passages at various times: being born/giving birth, growth, identity/orientation/life-path, illness or injury, partnership or not, endings and beginnings, aging and beginning to die. Some of us face additional challenges, including the worst of oppression. What I have learned from my clients and colleagues, and from Peter Levine and the SE faculty, as well as from Kathy Kain and Stephen Terrell, as well as from my own life's surprises, has soaked into my cells-- and makes it possible to support and witness others. I work both in person and by protected video. Sometimes the journey leads to new spirituality or new ventures in the world, and then I become part of the "launch team."
