Kyoko Tsuchiya is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, SEP, specializing in the treatment of complex PTSD, trauma, chronic pain, complex health issues, intergenerational trauma, immigration and acculturation issues and grief/loss. Kyoko works primarily with individual adults but she also provides couples counseling and family therapy.
Born and raised in Japan, Kyoko is bilingual/bicultural in English and Japanese. Since 2005, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings such as out-patient clinics for refugees and their families, inner city schools, in-home therapy and currently in private practice. she has also worked extensively with Asians, Asian-Americans, immigrants from various cultural backgrounds and mixed-race individuals.
Kyoko incorporates Somatic Experiencing, NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM) , NeuroAffective Touch (NA Touch), Kathy Kain's Somatic Practice (TST) and her over 40 years of meditation practice.
