As a Feldenkrais Practitioner, SEP and Yoga Instructor, I work with individuals and groups to identify how experiences of trauma may be influencing their patterns of movement, thinking, feeling and sensations. In our work together we decrease areas of fixity and discover opportunities for choice. The intention of somatic work is to provide individuals with the inherent wisdom of the body. Stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship conflicts are issues that exist in both the mind and the body. In Somatic Experiencing and touch work, we explore the messages carried in the body and support choices that create more ease allowing the freedom to live a fuller version of ourselves.
I have been in practice working with regulating touch for the last 6 years. I offer sessions both in person and online. My practice includes individuals from as young as 10 to as old as 85. In addition to my 4 years of touch, movement, and anatomy training in Feldenkrais, I have completed touch skills for trauma training with Kathy Kain. I have experience working with developmental trauma, traumatic brain injury, motor vehicle collision, childhood sexual abuse, life transitions, grief & loss, and adults who experienced abuse as children.
I enjoy the process of learning and helping others move through the areas of confusion that are inherent in the new and necessary for learning to occur. It is a pleasure to be a part of your journey as you discover your powerful self.
